Here you can fly to new heights! This position will be working within the Peacock Digital Network Operations Center (DNOC) as a team member providing assistance in monitoring, control, support, and escalation for NBCUniversal’s delivery of digital video content.
The Commercial Operator will be responsible for ensuring timely and reliable delivery of NBCU live and VOD content to the NBC OTT Platforms. Commercial Operators will provide real time support and monitoring for NBCUniversal live events from pre-event spin up, live digital commercial insertion, post-event spin down and escalating any issues that arise during live event monitoring.
In addition to running live events, the Commercial Operators will also help in Quality Control monitoring for new VOD content coming to the Peacock platform. This includes checking ads, video, audio, and player controls prior to launch, and providing any assistance needed on asset launch days.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor the end-to-end distribution of NBCUniversal digital video assets on NBC OTT Platforms
- Digital encoder set up of event-based streaming across the NBC Portfolio including: Peacock, Olympic Sports, NASCAR, IndyCar, and more.
- Manually insert advertising triggers into event-based livestreams and confirm playback across all supported customer devices
- Communicate with commercial control room directors to support digital advertising operations
- Physical checks on endpoint devices and platforms to ensure assets are available as expected.
- Identify, diagnose, and escalate customer impacting issues quickly and clearly
- Quality Control (QC) checking VOD assets prior to and during launch days
- Develop expertise of distribution workflows and communicate support cases across departments to help firm-up operations
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external distribution partners.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or related field experience is required
- Minimum one (1) year experience including internships ideally in a live sports production environment
- Must have a reliable work history and be punctual
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, overtime, and on weekends with short notice
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
