Responsibilities
Directs activities of the department to provide quality food service for the resident population, visitors, guests and nursing home staff. Purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices and personnel utilization. Selects department production staff and front line staff. Coordinates interdepartmental professional activities, and acts as resource person to staff and management on matters pertaining to food production.
Qualifications
High school graduate
AAS or culinary degree preferred
Formal training in food preparation and management preferred
One to Three years’ food service supervisory experience
Certification with the American Culinary Federation preferred
Training in HACCP or NRA ServSafe certification preferred
