Seeking a highly organized, strategic-minded, and proactive Chief of Staff to provide comprehensive support and guidance to our VP of People on a wide range of topics. This role will act as a liaison to internal departments, Leadership Team members, and external stakeholders; bring a strategic perspective specifically in the areas of Talent Management and Employee Experience & Engagement (including DEIB/ESG); and possess an ability to identify and lead significant talent and experience improvement initiatives in order to ensure the effectiveness and success of the People organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of critical People projects by managing project timelines, milestones, and resources, ensuring successful and timely completion.
  • Stakeholder management responsibilities to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, providing briefing documents for collaboration with various teams.
  • Manage projects and specific deliverables, ranging from ensuring that project actions are acted upon to addressing time-sensitive requests from management to researching and analyzing data to support People leadership in decision making.
  • Heavily involved in the design of employee-centric experiences, both within the People team and other functions.
  • Advise the VP of People and execute against key Talent Management and Employee Experience & Engagement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently at coordinating cross-functional activities, obtaining buy-in, and elevating issues at critical junctures.
  • Strong project management skills: organized and disciplined, close attention to detail, ability to effectively manage multiple projects/priorities, and follow-through to ensure results.
  • Proven experience with industry-specific leading practices in Talent, Employee Engagement & Experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with successful DEIB practices and ESG strategies.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to embed Employee Experience and DEIB principles in both overarching people programs and everyday moments/interactions.
  • Proven experience and sensitivity to different cultures within EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
  • Confident, clear, and concise articulation of thoughts; ability to effectively present to and manage executive stakeholders.
  • Five+ years of experience working within a People/HR organization or similar employee facing department.

 

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role:

  • Tier 1 Location: SF Bay Area, Los Angeles and New York: $121,000 - $135,000
  • Tier 2 Location: Austin, Denver, Seattle - 10% less
  • Tier 3 Location: All other US locations - 10% less
