Come join the DES Team!<br/><br/>The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a QA Investigative Nurse - District Nurse. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high-quality, and member-driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.<br/><br/>Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing, Certification and Regulation (OLCR), cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family member with a principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.</span></p>

<span>Job Duties:</span>
</div>

<p><span>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span>Conducts on-site clinical health & safety visits to vendor sites for all health & safety concerns, Immediate Jeopardy or at the direction of the Division AHCCCS Quality Management Utilization. Performs as the lead for the review/fact finding & participates in on-site visits while maintaining member confidentiality, participates in health & safety meetings, scheduled & unscheduled visits of placement settings, service sites identified to have serious deficiencies.</span></li>
<li><span>Works with appropriate regulatory agencies and conducts all mandatory required reporting. Provides all investigative documentation to the Division QMU Clinical Investigator to assist them in the investigative and severity determination process of the Quality of Care (QOC) Investigation. Follow up with vendors regarding the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Remediation follow-up. Reports all Health and Safety and QOCs to DDD QMU.</span></li>
<li><span>Drive to and from licensed settings to complete clinical health and safety visits.</span></li>
<li><span>Provides the vendor agencies, service providers and Division staff with ongoing training, technical assistance and continued on-site monitoring to reduce the likelihood of the incident reoccurring and promote vendor/provider regulatory compliance.</span></li>

<li><span>Clinical Investigative Fact Finding and on-site clinical monitoring methods.</span></li>
<li><span>Nurse Practice Act.</span></li>
<li><span>Division Contractual, licensing and on-site monitoring.</span></li>
<li><span>Applicable laws, rules, policies, procedures and standards related to acute care delivery, Nursing Scope of practice and quality-Driven Healthcare Competencies.</span></li>
<li><span>Program guidelines and practices.</span></li>
<li><span>Managed Care, AHCCCS, ADHS and CMS.</span></li>
</ul>
