Lead Product Designer

Developers and companies around the world build on it, and the SDF team is expanding to support the rapidly growing and changing Stellar ecosystem.

We're seeking an exceptional Lead Product Designer to join our team and help shape the future of our on-chain tools and products. In this role, you'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on design expertise to create innovative solutions that delight our users.

In this role, you will: 

• Manage at least one other designer and lead product design across the organization
• Create designs to support cross-functional teams, both for internal and external tools and platforms
• Design beautiful, usable, and valuable product experiences for the Stellar ecosystem
• Maintain and scale our design system to improve and ensure consistency across products
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
• Present design work to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively to ensure high-quality designs
• Work closely with engineers to QA products to ensure that they are pixel perfect
• Champion user-centered design practices throughout the organization

You have:

• 7+ years of product design experience
• Strong visual UI skills and detailed design eye
• Deep experience creating and shipping extraordinary products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work
• Expert knowledge of modern design tools (Figma, Framer, etc.)
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing

Bonus Points if you have:

• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of $190,000 - $230,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, we offer lumen-denominated grants along with the following perks and benefits:
