Maintenance Technician

The purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance to all Weaver Popcorn facilities.

Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior building repairs
• Pipe fitting and plumbing (sanitary and bathroom)
• Troubleshooting and repair
• HVAC
• Building utility systems
• Air compressor and air systems
• Electrical distribution
• Fire systems
• Rigging and setting of equipment using forklifts, jacks, etc.
• Working from man lifts, climbing to heights of 110 feet, and entering corn bins
• Mechanical rebuilds of dust collectors, conveyors, stretch wrappers, and various other equipment
• Some electrical installation work, including but not limited to, 480VAC, 240VAC, 110VAC, and some control voltages such as 24VDC and 24VAC.
• Some conduit bending and pulling wires
• Pipe fitting 10% of the time
• Roof and building repairs 25% of the time
• Rigging and setting of equipment 5% of the time
• HVAC troubleshooting and repair 10% of the time
• Air compressor troubleshooting and maintenance 5% of the time
• Utility system troubleshooting and maintenance 5% of the time
• Mechanical rebuilds (dust collectors, etc.) 5% of the time
• Cleaning maintenance cage, compressor room, and parts cage 10% of the time

Preferred

• Education – minimum high school diploma or equivalent 
• Forklift and Man Lift License 
• 2 – 3 years of qualified maintenance experience
• Education – 2-year degree from a technical or trade school 
• Five to Seven years of qualified maintenance experience

5:45PM-6:00AM 2-2-3 rotating schedule
