The Team
Hospital in The Home (HiTH) - North's sole purpose is to provide exceptional hospital level health care and ongoing support to the residents of Northern Tasmania to negate the need for hospitalisation in our mainstream facility and enable patients to remain in their own home and community under the watchful/vigilant eye of a dedicated health team which includes Medical Staff Specialists, Senior Medical Registrars, Nurse Unit Manager, Associate Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Allied Health professionals (incorporating Senior Social Workers, Senior Physiotherapists and Senior Occupational Therapists) .
The Role
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to combine advanced clinical practice with leadership in a dynamic, community-based setting?
The Hospital in the Home (HiTH) Service is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to help deliver hospital-level care to patients in the comfort of their own homes across Northern Tasmania.
In this rewarding role, you will provide clinical leadership, coordinate complex patient care, support multidisciplinary service delivery, and contribute to the ongoing development of an innovative healthcare model that reduces the need for hospital admissions while improving patient outcomes.
Working closely with Medical Staff, Nurse Practitioners, the Nurse Unit Manager and a diverse multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care for patients experiencing acute illness, injury, or exacerbations of chronic conditions.

Details of appointment
- Permanent, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 12 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility

Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role
