Program Manager I - Neurology

The Program Manager I provides direction to residents/fellows, leadership and day-to-day management and continuity of the educational and departmental activities.

The Program Manager I is responsible for assuring that training programs for the education of Neurology residents/fellows are properly organized, well-coordinated, and effective, monitored, and in compliance with requirements set by the Graduate Medical Education (GME), Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS), and Non-Standard (NST) sponsored by the (ECFMG) organizations. 

• Oversees and manages the activities of residents/fellows and provides leadership and direction for residents/fellows, setting an effective agenda to ensure that performance goals and program requirements are met.
• Develops and implements new or revised program goals with the program director, strategies and objectives for program improvement.
• Develops and schedules a program work plan in accordance with specifications, objectives and funding limitations; oversees daily operations and coordinates program activities.
• Maintains liaison with staff in other departments to coordinate program activities and training; to accomplish program objectives; and to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized.
• Administers program procedures and systems. Ensures information is disseminated to residents/fellows regarding program and Mount Sinai Medical Center's policies and procedures.
• Confers with and advises staff and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and program goals and policy interpretations; refers to appropriate department or person when unable to respond.
• Takes an active role in developing the program budgets and grants. May monitor, verify and oversee the reconciliation of budget expenditures.
• Manages the assigning and reporting of faculty and resident/fellow evaluations in New Innovations and AMION schedules.
• Runs personnel transactions in Sinai Cloud.
• Assists International applicants with J1 and H1 VISA applications and submits required documents to International Personnel office and House Staff Affairs.
• Directs the resident/fellow schedules, which includes didactic lecture series, grand rounds and calendar of events. Corresponds with lecturers and coordinates lecture dates, topics and audiovisual needs.
• Develops and maintains program letters of agreement for all required rotation sites at outside institutions (ie: Mount Sinai West, Elmhurst Hospital, Bronx VA Medical Center).
• Manages the Internal Reviews/Accreditation of the program as directed by the GME/ACGME.
• Manages Observership onboarding with the Volunteer office. 
• Responsible for annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) events. 
• Performs other related duties.

• Bachelors degree or greater preferred, or a combination of applicable experience and education
• 3+ years experience (5 preferred), managing and administrating program activities for assigned area
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy 
• Experience with website platforms such as SharePoint and OneDrive preferred
• Experience with Meditract, Empower, One45, Blackboard or equivalent educational program systems preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Zoom preferred
