State Director, Idaho

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is the premier grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country’s greatest challenges. The Idaho State Director will act as the visionary and main spokesperson for Americans for Prosperity - Idaho, while leading the state-based team. The State Director will report to the Regional Director and will work closely with volunteers, legislators, press, partners, and with different departments in the national office. This position requires an individual with a broad range of core competencies as he/she is running an individual state chapter within the broader organization.

How You Will Contribute

• Craft and advocate a legislative agenda to members of the legislature, Governor, and the Idaho federal delegation
• Organize a statewide grassroots operation to engage activists
• Lead a team of committed outreach professionals
• Set a vision for the future of Idaho
• Partner with AFP's political capability to elect aligned policy champions

What You Will Bring

• State or federal public policy and/or legislative experience
• Experience cultivating relationships with high-profile individuals
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment
• A firm commitment to advancing every individual’s right to economic freedom and opportunity through free markets
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining broad-based coalitions
