PRO Pediatric Services, is seeking an exceptional School-Based Outpatient Therapist to provide services at a local intermediate unit.
Job Details:
- Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA
- Schedule: Full-time. M-F, 8am-4pm
- Caseload: K-12
- Requirements: Master’s degree in a clinical discipline such as social work, psychology, counseling or related mental health field.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical services
Under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, will provide clinical services to clients in the Outpatient Program.
- Intake and exit criteria is gathered for program intervention.
- Updating treatment plans as needed
- Crisis intervention and stabilization strategies are utilized under the direction of the Mental Health Professional as necessary.
- Formal and informal assessments are conducted as directed by the Mental Health Professional.
- There is evidence of working in collaborative professional teams.
- There is evidence of modeling solution-focused collaboration as designed by Intermediate Unit Administrative Staff.
- There is contribution towards the development and maintenance of an environment which is non-threatening, safe, nurturing, and where the clients feel respected, accepted, and welcomed.
Documentation
Under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health, will provide assistance with documentation as per the Department of Public Welfare and the Pennsylvania Department of Education Regulations, as well as best practices in the provision of mental health services.
- Client behavior, attendance, record maintenance, end of the year reports, encounter forms, statistics, and other reports as requested are evidenced.
- Assistance is provided to the Mental Health Professional in writing treatment plans, goals, and checklists.
- A crisis plan is developed and maintained for each client under the direction of the Mental Health Professional.
- Intake and assessment forms developed and maintained for each client under the direction of the Mental Health Professional.
Case Management
Under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, will collaborate with others in the provision of mental health services for clients in the Outpatient Program.
- Parent contacts are conducted on a regular basis.
- Collaboration occurs with community agencies and school district personnel.
- Attendance at hearings occurs when needed.
- There is the presence of a professional demeanor and maintenance of a consumer-friendly environment.
- Attendance at trainings and meetings occur as they are scheduled.

Will perform other duties as directed by the Director of Behavioral Health.
