About the role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed cloud systems and experience in leading customer and engineering team to remediate incidents and performance issues.
- Experience in scripting and automation using tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform, and/or Kubernetes advantageous
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong documentation skills with experience documenting infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing, ensure maintainability, and enhance team collaboration.
- 5+ years of experience in Architecture, Operations, and/or System Engineering
- Recent technical experience designing and/or deploying infrastructure and high-performance computing or at least one major public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI). Muti-Cloud Management exposure is an added advantage.
- Linux skills with hands-on experience in Oracle Linux/RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian distributions, including system administration, package management, shell scripting, and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in writing as indicated by publications of blogs, white-papers, or other technical collateral and presenting to technical and business audiences.
- You must be able to demonstrate a track record of improving customer service uptime or satisfaction.
- At least 5 years experience consulting/interacting with customers, including architects, C level, etc.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus).
- Strong experience with High-Performance Computing systems
- Work directly with strategics partners in different verticals segment to onboard and integrate with OCI services to support joint customers.
- Act as the trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and Oracle sales organizations.
- Own and drive architecture best practices throughout our customers and Oracle.
- Ability to think through the solution and identify/document potential issues impacting your customers.
- Author SME technical collateral that enables future solutions implementations.
- Assist Engineering teams in establishing the stated direction of OCI features and integrate new features/products into validated solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability issues and implement solutions to mitigate risks and minimize downtime.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in cloud infrastructure and evaluate their potential impact on our systems and workflows.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure maintainability.
- Provide an escalation path for Support for direct customer interaction.
- Participate in service affecting incidents to ensure rapid remediation. Owning root cause analysis and corrective action items and seeing these through to conclusion.
- Defining new processes and procedures to limit and mitigate risk during changes, and act as the Strategic Customers technical advocate when working with engineering teams to improve change management for OCI.
- Develop tools and automation to measure platform performance and identify problems of capacity and scale before they affect customers.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
