What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field several days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.
What You’ll Do
The DOTI Program Management Division (PMD) has an opening for a Cost Schedule Analyst to support DOTI’s capital delivery and other city-wide initiatives. This includes supporting DOTI program and project managers delivering hundreds of individual projects. Our division also leads unique, DOTI-wide projects, policy development and initiatives as needed. Our groups’ two core functions are bringing Transparency and Performance & Program Quality and Standards to DOTI business.
This individual will possess excellent self-initiative and multi-tasking skills, as well as willing to learn cross-functional tasks to serve in a team environment. Interacting with several internal & external work groups, they will oversee cost and schedule planning, reporting, monitoring, and analysis for a variety of projects enhancing Denver communities.
Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare estimates and schedules used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
- Work with Project Managers, Program Managers, and other analysts to perform detailed cost/schedule planning, earned value variance analysis, identification of cost/schedule problems, and development of corrective action plans
- Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the PMIS in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines
- Create and implement flexible and actionable cost models
- Set up cost breakdown (CBS) structures and cost controls; monitor and control costs at project and program levels
- Perform risk analyses and identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts
- Present monthly and annual metrics internally while ensuring accuracy of all reports distributed to external parties
- Maintain project schedules including progress updates. Revise forecasts and evaluate impact of delay. Communicate status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team and upper management
- Assist with preparation of annual budgeting process, including expenses and capital budgets by project
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction project managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Review contractor change orders for consistency, accuracy, terms, and conditions compliance, and negotiate and/or approve changes and adjustments
