The Data Analyst Intern supports the Metadata Governance Manager in the creation of semantic interoperability of the PBS ecosystem & beyond.Intern will register PBS's rich, historical catalog in a public registry to ensure each historical show title is findable across the global entertainment industry. The work entails:
Integrating different data sources to collect and validate show information into clean data sets
Using qualitative and quantitative methods to gather information about a specific topic
Design and use tools such as surveys, interviews, and observations to obtain information
Requirements for success:
Has or is working towards a degree related to metadata/data management.
Must have worked on metadata/data governance projects.
Has experience working on metadata/data projects with diverse groups.
Is energized by working with people.
Skills the Intern may gain:
An understanding of the value of data and data quality as it relates to any organization’s operations.
An appreciation for the complexities of metadata/data management within a media organization.
Additional Information:
Time Commitment: June 1, 2026 – August 21, 2026
Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour
