Position Summary:
The Account Director, BioAnalytics will drive revenue growth for our biologics analytical services with a particular focus on identifying and closing GLP clinical and commercial related opportunities. Other responsibilities for the Account Director, BioAnalytics include market intelligence/market research analysis as gained through client interactions, trade show attendance, etc.
Catalent Biologics is a fast-growing business within Catalent Pharma Solutions focused on providing innovative technologies and solutions to help more and better biologic treatments get to patients. The business includes our proprietary GPEx cell line engineering platform, our new state-of-the-art biomanufacturing facility in Madison, WI., and our market leading biologics analytical services in Kansas City and Research Triangle Park, NC. With the recent acquisition of Redwood Bioscience in Emeryville, CA, we have added the SMARTag Antibody Drug Conjugate technology, providing a next-generation ADC platform to our biologics customers. Leveraging our growing differentiated technology portfolio, world class manufacturing capability, and other integrated services across the Catalent network, Catalent Biologics is positioned to drive significant growth for Catalent.
This is a field-based, remote role.
The Role
- Proven track-record of developing strong relationships, establishing new clients and closing business in biotech service-based market segment.
- Demonstrated success in ‘consultative selling’ in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of drug development requirements including preclinical and clinical stages.
- Clear understanding of customer informational databases and metrics to define success in selling services to Pharma clients
- Exceptional selling, organization, negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in developing and negotiating complex contracts specifically.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the bio, pharma, medical device industries, or other related industries
- Experience in developing and negotiating complex contracts specifically
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific area required. Science related MS, Ph.D. or MBA (with science BS) preferred.
