About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and overseeing manufacturing of electrical equipment, systems, and components. In this role, you will work on projects from concept through to implementation and handover. You will be critical in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of electrical operations within the facility. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety through electrical innovations. 

• Managing electrical projects from concept to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments. 

• Ensuring all electrical installations and operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety and engineering standards.

• Owning the Site Electrical Safety Plan and all corresponding actions defined from IBM audit. 

• Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and start-up of electrical systems and machinery, ensuring they are operational and meet safety standards. 

• Sourcing and managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.

• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing innovation to enhance efficiency and safety. 

• Performing/Overseeing regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime and maintaining production efficiency.

• Providing technical support and guidance to maintenance and production teams, solving complex electrical issues.

• Managing computerized system access.

• Acting as the Laser Safety Champion for the site.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (E.g., NFPA 70, OSHA).

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

• Previous experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other control systems.

• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).

• Advanced communication and collaboration skills and ability to effectively engage in multicultural environments.

• Excellent English communication skills.

Location: This position is based in St. Louis, MO with in-office requirements.
