The Research Data Scientist for HVTI will serve as the primary data manager for multi-disciplinary research studies and will be responsible for generating and managing various reports.
Knowledge of research methods and medical terminology is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate. We are seeking someone with a strong data background and skills in computer science, IT, or programming.
A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am—5:00pm. After training, the position has the option to be hybrid which will require a combination of on-stie and remote work.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform basic data analysis to include data validation, investigation, and testing of hypotheses.
Assist Principal Investigator with transforming data to support the investigation of research questions.
Build basic predictive models, and other mathematical or statistical models as needed by using modeling tools.
Utilize process enhancement opportunities to improve the efficiency of data pulling, reporting, programming, operation etc.
Work to curate and process complex clinical and biological data.
May communicate or present research findings.
Identify technical issues and manage resolution for analytics programs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Two years of experience conducting data analytics, math or statistical modeling or machine learning
OR Master’s or PhD degrees in related fields may offset the experience requirement
Demonstrate proficiency with programing skills in languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB or similar
Physical Requirements:
Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying 5 to 15 pounds.
