Rehabilitation/Nurse Aide

Schedule: Full time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm
The Rehabilitation Aide plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the rehab area. The ideal person for this role will assist PTs, OTs, SLPs, and our DOR in providing the best quality care for our patients.
Duties of the rehab aide include:
- Performs clerical tasks like answering phone calls, faxing, photocopying, and maintaining patient records, coordinating DME orders and delivery
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of treatment areas prior to and after treatment sessions
- Cleans, inspects, and maintains equipment
- Maintains equipment and supplies inventory log
- Helps set up and assist patients in performing exercises or in using gym equipment under therapist supervision
- Performs other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: Active on the Nurse Aide Registry (OBRA)
- A person who embodies and aligns with Providence values of integrity, dignity, justice, compassion, and excellence
- Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and exercises, and to handle equipment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a high-paced environment.
