Software Developer I

We are looking for an entry-level software developer to join our team and provide software engineering services in an Agile development environment as part of an integrated contractor-government team developing tactical weapons system software.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and test software in a Linux environment.
• Analyze new or modified system and software specifications.
• Perform causal analysis for reported software defects.

Requirements:

• United States Citizenship
• 100% On Site in Dahlgren, Virginia
• United States citizenship
• Proficiency in C++
• Proficiency with Linux as a development platform

Preferred Skills & Experience:  

• Java
• Python
• Bash
  

Education:  A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required

Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.  

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $69,000 - $82,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
