Job Summary:

Raytheon Engineering Technicians provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks. The Antenna Range Section plans and executes antenna measurements and collects, formats, and compiles technical data, such as antenna test or material test results to support multiple engineering disciplines.  

We are looking to add to our team and desire an Engineering Technician to be part of a team that tests, analyzes, maintains, compiles and formats measured data in an Anechoic Chamber to support product design verification and validation.

What You Will Do:

  • Work will be performed on 2nd shift.
  • Work with teams of engineers, assemblers, and technicians.
  • The candidate will perform engineering technician functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems. 
  • The candidate will perform analysis on data, to determine root cause analysis of failures.
  • The candidate will be involved in planning and executing of rework of production assemblies.
  • The candidate will coordinate and execute tasks in Raytheon antenna ranges, maintain and standardize range infrastructure to meet program requirements.

What You Will Learn:

  • You will gain hands on experience with various test equipment such as Performance Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Amplifiers and Anechoic Chambers
  • You will learn the principles of antenna measurements to include gain, phase, axial ratio and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel and Power Point as well as, RF fundamentals, such as the RF electro-magnetic spectrum, propagation delay, and RF components.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience with antenna measurement patterns and how antennas work.
  • Experience with decibels (dB’s) and / or dBm values with respect to equivalent power levels in Watts.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and craft clear communication with direct team members.
  • Focus on results with the ability to drive tasks to closure
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within last five years.

The salary range for this role is 40,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
