Job Description

The CFO Consultant in our Emerging Growth Solutions Practice must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The CFO Consultant is part of the Emerging Growth Outsourced team and may be working with multiple clients and accounting teams concurrently.

The CFO Consultant must be an excellent leader since all the administrative departments of the organization and the accounting team will be under their direction.  Must also have experience working in venture backed companies from early stage to high growth. 

Responsibilities:

·       Manage and lead the finance team while fostering a collaborative working environment.

·       Maintain a strong cross-functional relationship with the executive team.

·       Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive team.

·       Develop, implement, and monitor the strategic business plan.

·       Oversee accounting, finance, human resources, tax, IT, legal and treasury functions.

·       Develop and manage cashflow, financial operating, capital budgets and ensure it is appropriate for the organization’s guidelines. 

·       Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure.

·       Manage and oversee the risk management function.

·       Determine investment strategies based on cash and liquidity needs and risks.

·       Develop performance measurements and monitoring that supports the company’s strategic direction.

·       Oversee financial reporting, including investor presentations, Board reports, and management reports.

·       Manage RoseRyan outsourced finance team, including training, mentoring, and providing written performance feedback.

·       Manage vendors and actively provide referrals of key RoseRyan strategic partners as appropriate.

·       Oversee and manage employee benefit plans.

·       Oversee and manage the annual audit process.

·       Ensure the company is in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

·       Proactive referrals to RoseRyan’ s 3rd party ecosystem partners, as established from time to time.

•         Utilize RoseRyan best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in delivery of client services and interacting with RoseRyan personnel; ensure entire RoseRyan team.; ensure entire RoseRyan team is utilizing these tools.

·       Set up the proper design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strategic mindset with the ability to drive business results
• Experience in the consulting industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)

Required skills and experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.

·         10+ years progressive experience in management roles

·         5+ years as a Controller consultant.

·         Proficiency in accounting software - For example, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle.

·         MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and Macros

·         Proven experience as a Controller in mid to large size companies

·         SEC Reporting

·         Strong understanding and knowledge of US GAAP standards.

Desired skills and experience:

·       Active CPA certification

·       Project management

·       Operational accounting

·       Financial reporting

·       Preferred industry experience includes Technology, FinTech, eCommerce, Software, Hardware, SaaS, Manufacturing, Life Science, Pharma, and Medical Device.

Soft skills:

·       Ability to think strategically and commu
