Staff Accountant, Fixed Assets - Remote

(Full Time, Remote)

A Fixed Assets Accountant is responsible for asset management and ensuring all asset information is correct.

Requirements:

• One to two years of experience in Accounting/Finance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university
• Strong understanding of general accounting knowledge and principles 
• Strong computer skills

Preferred:

• Google Suite 
• Oracle 
• Experience in IT Finance, Project Accounting and Fixed Assets
• Multi-site accounting experience
• Six Sigma Certified

About the Opportunity:

• Asset management: Maintaining records, tracking, tagging of all fixed assets, including acquisition cost, depreciation, disposal, and other relevant information.
• Asset Management: Participating in periodic reviews of fixed assets to make sure that the asset is still in use and has not been transferred, impaired or disposed. Submitting any needed corrections for approval.
• Month End Close: Participate, as needed, with Finance during close processes; monthly, quarterly and year end.
• Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as local Project Managers, SBO Controllers, IT, Corporate Treasury and Tax to ensure that fixed assets are aligned with broader organizational goals and objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist in assessing current processes and identifying improvements, testing and applying those in production.
