Raytheon’s Shipboard Effectors department focuses on production programs. Mechanical Engineers in this department address various production challenges to support missile production for the Warfighter.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
  • Support first article inspection reviews, work instruction reviews, material dispositions, FRACAS reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Interpret TDP requirements, review objective evidence of compliance, and ensure design integrity throughout the total product life cycle.
  • Maintain TDP per ASME 14.5 standards.
  • Provide technical oversight of suppliers and subcontractors, including travel up to 20%.
  • Communicate and document technical information to maintain alignment amongst Program Leadership, Chief Engineer, other Support Functions and Functional Management.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Experience with Creo modeling and drafting
  • Experience with Windchill and configuration management

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
