Raytheon’s Shipboard Effectors department focuses on production programs. Mechanical Engineers in this department address various production challenges to support missile production for the Warfighter.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate and coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
- Support first article inspection reviews, work instruction reviews, material dispositions, FRACAS reviews, and risk assessments.
- Interpret TDP requirements, review objective evidence of compliance, and ensure design integrity throughout the total product life cycle.
- Maintain TDP per ASME 14.5 standards.
- Provide technical oversight of suppliers and subcontractors, including travel up to 20%.
- Communicate and document technical information to maintain alignment amongst Program Leadership, Chief Engineer, other Support Functions and Functional Management.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships
Qualifications We Prefer
- Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
- Experience with Creo modeling and drafting
- Experience with Windchill and configuration management
