Job Overview                                       

The R&M Technician role undertakes hands-on tasks and utilizes Weatherford's facilities, equipment, machinery, and systems. The role applies techniques and practices to complete the scope of tasks covering inspection, repair, and maintenance of field tools, preparing them for their next assignment. Tasks will span the entire process from receiving the tools, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing using technical manuals, procedures, and technical work instructions. While this is a generic job description covering the different levels of the R&M Technician position, all aspects of the roles and responsibilities are relevant. More senior roles lead and oversee tasks carried out by other R&M employees.

·         Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices

·         Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, callipers, micrometres, or other measuring instruments.

·         Follows maintenance processes & procedures to undertake the following: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual checking, painting, assembly, loading, and storage of tools, completing all necessary documentation as required against their level of trai
