Summary:
Our Client Advocates function very closely to a Case Manager- The main difference is that they do not carry a case load and assist Senior clients. These Client Advocates identify and work directly with individuals who are experiencing long-term homelessness or have significant challenges obtaining stable housing such as serious mental illness and/or medical vulnerability. Our Client Advocates for seniors provide support and referrals to service providers to expedite clients’ opportunities to obtain and retain stable housing. This is an active and fast-paced role, often receiving multiple requests from multiple clients at the same time or within the same hour. The successful candidate in this role will be great at prioritizing, multi-tasking and following through on communications to both clients and case managers.
Essential Functions:
- Identify vulnerable individuals and build an effective case plan for them customized to their individual needs
- Refer client to appropriate housing providers, and support in seeking income
- Conduct weekly and ad-hoc follow-up sessions with clients to facilitate success in achieving their goals
- Build and maintain relationships with campus partners
- Perform other duties as required.

- Able to remain clear-headed when conflicts, crisis and emergency situations arise.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. The position primarily works between the hours of 7 AM to 6 PM shifts. Employees might work Sunday. Scheduled hours may vary depending on agency needs. Time is allotted for meal breaks.
Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent and one-year of directly related experience;
- Strong knowledge of resources;
- Have a State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card;
- Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; highly accurate data entry skills;
- CPR-First Aid certification
- Naloxone (Narcan) training
Preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
