Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for the next generation of agriculture robots. You will bring to production your designs in thousands of robots
  • Prototype new designs and iterate based on feedback and testing
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing the attachments for our Robots
  • Assist with the preparation of electrical schematics, interconnection diagrams, and technical manuals
  • You will collaborate with other members of the Engineering team (planning, perception, controls and infrastructure), and with customers, to build a Robot that end users love
  • Work with manufacturing partners to ensure the timely and high-quality production of hardware components
  • Continuously evaluate and improve hardware designs to optimize performance, cost, and reliability
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware issues
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree would be a plus
  • 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in robotics, automotive industry or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Hands-on rapid embedded system prototyping experience (hardware and firmware)
  • Experience with schematic and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or Eagle
  • Working knowledge of standard communication buses and protocols (e.g. UART, USB, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.)
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Experience with robotics, automation systems or electrical vehicles is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
