THE ROLE: Senior Manager, Corporate Planning
We’re looking for…
We are looking for an Sr. Manager, Corporate Planning to lead the development of our Financial Plans and monthly forecasting, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. This position requires delivering comprehensive forecasting and analysis to guide both pre-season and in-season decisions, aiming to maximize revenue and profitability. You will work closely with the Vice President of Planning to refine budget frameworks and the Open-to-Buy process and participate in key strategic merchandising initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking Sr. Manager who can conceptualize and execute strategies that drive significant sales growth and profitability. Your expertise will enhance inventory optimization and management across various business categories.
As an Sr. Manager, you will lead a team of planners, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and use advanced analytics to support strategic initiatives. Your leadership will ensure efficient inventory management and contribute to the success of our organization.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Thinking
- Lead the development and management of the annual budget and monthly forecasts by channel, ensuring alignment of sales and margin projections with overarching organizational strategies and objectives.
- Partner with the leadership team to devise and implement comprehensive merchandise strategies that optimize inventory levels and profitability, driving alignment with the company's long-term business vision.
- Oversee inventory flow and receipt forecasting, providing strategic guidance to support the fulfillment center team's operational capacity, and ensuring seamless coordination among the supply chain, finance, and fulfillment departments.
Financial Agility
- Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends and new business opportunity recommendations to the Merchandise Flash and Residual Team, contributing to effective decision-making and the overall success of the merchandise planning strategies.
- Evaluate financial performance and operational metrics, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Devise channel & divisional category plans, budgets and forecasts that support profitable sales growth.

- Exhibit broad scale decision quality and accountability for impact. Lead by example and set high standards for deliverables while taking accountability for team decisions.
- Lead recommendation and implementation of process improvements for enhanced tools to drive efficiency and accuracy within organization.

- Develop a planning team with strong ability to identify and articulate short- and long-term strategies supported by sound financial plans.

Communication
- Build and foster effective relationships and collaborate closely with Merchandising, Financial Planning, Programing and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Merchandising strategies to support overall business objectives.
- Influence decisions within the Planning team and cross-functionally.
- Possess excellent presentation skills and the ability to build sound business cases.

- 7+ years of experience in merchandise/financial planning, with at least 2-years’ experience in leadership roles
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or other quantitative field preferred.
