Party and Event Attendant

Our partner is looking for a Party and Event Attendant in Bloomington, MN.

This role will create an innovative and fun family entertainment experience utilizing specialized skills and abilities; provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times; ensure a positive guest experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for setting up, decorating, cleaning up, and maintaining party area
• Pick up food and cupcakes from vendors
• Ensure parties begin and end with timeliness
• Ensure each party receives everything included in the package or any special requests
• Explain all the needed rules and policies for the party
• Ensure party is run in the sequence of the guest's preference
• Pick up food and cupcakes from vendors, if needed
• Help serve food, beverages, and cake to party guests
• Ensure the safety of party guests
• Prevent non-party members from entering the space
• Restock party supplies and party add-ons as needed
• Entertain guests in a professional, family friendly manner
• Perform to highest standards and act appropriately for family audiences
• Take direction from Team Leads and Supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness of work environments
• Follow all company and department policies and procedures
• Regular, reliable and consistent attendance
• Additional duties as assigned

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Stand/move about -Frequently, 90%
• Kneel/crouch- Periodically, up to 40%
• Reach at or above/below shoulder level - Frequently, 50%
• Handle/lift large items such as boxes/packages (up to 40lbs) - Frequently, 60%
• Bend/stoop/squat - Frequently, 50%
• Repetitive motions - Frequently, 30%

Requirements

• To provide excellent guest service
• Represent Nickelodeon Universe and Mall of America with highest degree of professionalism
• Good listening skills when dealing with guests, coworkers and supervisors
• Ability to work as part of a team and in collaboration with other departments
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
• An outgoing and energetic person that will entertain in a family party environment
• Prior experience as in a service position preferred, but not required
• May also be asked to train and perform as character performers
