Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory.Position Summary:As an Associate Accounting Manager at NeoGenomics, you will be integral in supporting growth in the Company, ensuring accurate accounting and analysis. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with investigating variance analysis
• Supervise, train, and develop Accounting staff
• Assist the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller on special projects as needed
• Provide analysis of business operations to needed accruals during monthly close
• Assist the Accounting Manager with performing data analytics to identify business insights as well as identify areas of potential accounting misstatements
• Assist with supervising fixed asset transactions
• Identify areas of efficiencies to improve current process and procedures and determine scalable solutions
• Prepare and review the external auditor’s interim and annual audit requests
• Assist with management of audit requests with statutory and external audits
• Foster working relationships cross-functionally

Experience & Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in AccountingExperience:

• 4+ years accounting or relevant experience
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships with others within and outside the accounting team.
• Must have strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including building models and prior data mining
• Intermediate to strong competencies with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Experience:

• CPA
• Big 4 public accounting experience
• ERP experience (Oracle preferred)

• Advanced computer skills with Word, PowerPoint, Excel; experience working with and implementing large-scale automated systems
