This function plays an essential role in strengthening our culture of continuous improvement enabling us to create simpler, more automated, and scalable and lower-risk ways of meeting clients’ needs quickly</p><p>This exciting venture in one of Europe’s largest financial services centres creates significant opportunities for those looking to grow their careers in an international company.</p><p></p><p>Department overview </p><p>The Asset Valuation team are responsible for the daily pricing of all securities held by onshore, offshore and institutional funds. The asset types covered include Equity, Fixed Income and Derivative instruments which are valued at multiple valuation points during the day. The team is also responsible for ensuring all assets are priced at fair-value, at both an individual security-level and market-level. The team performs complex data analysis to test the efficacy of the fair value models used, and also ensures the operational aspects of FIL’s Fair Value Committee are performed smoothly.</p><p>What you’ll do</p><p>You will be expected to assist in the completion of various pricing and fair value related processes, across multiple valuation points.</p><p></p><p>What you can expect</p><p></p><p>Operational</p><p>Daily checking, investigating and correcting various security prices using pricing vendors such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv<br/>Ensure that the department meets daily internal/external deadlines<br/>Adherence to departmental procedures<br/>Sign off security prices which have exceeded set tolerances<br/>Sign off documentation which will be published to other internal/external departments<br/>Assist in <span>testing/implementation</span> of projects which will impact the department<br/>Works steadily and efficiently throughout the day, maintaining good levels of concentration, even when unsupervised</p><p></p><p>Team Working</p><p>Recognises own needs and asks for support from appropriate sources<br/>Offers support and help to colleagues<br/>Follows agreed and established procedures<br/>Builds and maintains positive working relationships with colleagues<br/>Conducts relationships with others in a way that is consistent with FIL values<br/>Supports and commits to decisions reached within the team<br/>Communicates information fully and accurately<br/>Clarifies with manager if unsure what is expected of them, to ensure the task is delivered correctly</p><p></p><p>Delivers Results</p><p>Has a cooperative approach and is prepared to work extra hours occasionally to meet deadlines<br/>Takes the necessary time to produce quality work rather than rushing to finish work on time<br/>Learns from experience and from mistakes and takes responsibility for correcting own errors</p><p></p><p>Who you are</p><p>Relevant qualification, with a high numeracy content<br/>Proven ability to communicate and work with all levels of personnel<br/>Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a time critical environment<br/>Ability to prioritise workloads<br/>Problem solver with keen analytical skills<br/>Good interpersonal skills<br/>Accurate with good concentration skills<br/>Flexible and positive attitude<br/>Pro-active approach with ability to follow through and resolve issues<br/>Computer literate, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working experience of Word and Outlook<br/>Organised with excellent attention to detail<br/>Self-starter and self-motivating<br/>Team player</p><p></p><p><br/>Desirable skills </p><p>Experience in data analysis<br/>Experience in va
