Job Description Summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead Appian Architect to join our team. Essential Job Responsibilities:•Appian Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of Appian applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.•Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and understand project requirements. Foster teamwork and collaboration amongst the customer, technical teams and other relevant stakeholders. Builds credibility with others quickly.•Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful implementation of Appian solutions.•Customization and Development: Oversee the customization and development of Appian applications, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions. Maintain architectural integrity and oversight over Appian applications across the enterprise by conducting Architectural reviews to encourage use of common Appian components and reusable components as possible, minimizing customizations.•Integration: Architect and implement seamless integrations with other enterprise systems, maintaining data integrity and system interoperability.•Performance Optimization: Identify and implement strategies for optimizing the performance of Appian applications.•Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce best practices for Appian development, ensuring code quality and adherence to industry standards.•Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior developers, providing guidance, training, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.•Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources, manage workloads, and ensure the professional development of direct reports.•Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for junior developers to enhance their skills and capabilities.Required Skills:•Applicants must be able to pass a government required background investigation. Additionally, applicants must be able to work for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future. •Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.•A minimum of seven (7) years’ IT experience, including full project lifecycle, from concept to deployment.•At least five (5) years’ experience of successful implementations of Appian Cloud solutions and knowledge of on-premise installations and architecture.•A minimum of five (5) years’ of experience in leading and managing a team of junior developers. Desired Skills:•In-depth knowledge of Appian design and development best practices.•Strong understanding of Appian architecture, security models, and integration mechanisms.•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and proven ability to function independently as a “self-starter.”•Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.•Appian Level 2 or Level 3 certification is a plus.
