Gift Shop Associate - Part time

The gift shop associate will be responsible for the successful operation of the Rivers Health gift shop.

 

The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.

The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time.

 

1. Inventory control.

 

1. Reconcile daily cash, payroll, and credit card receipts.

 

1. Scheduling and training volunteers.

 

1. Updating and maintaining policies and procedures.

 

1. Oversees new shipment, including, stocking, pricing, and

   merchandising.

 

1. Provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for volunteers,

   concerns with cultivating and supporting a positive morale.

  

1. Puts customers first and is responsive to customer request.

 

1. Ensures gift shop is properly stocked, clean, organized and

   attractive.

 

1. Communicates potential problems to the Director in a timely manner,

   Provides suggestions for problem solving.

 

 

 

Qualifications

1. Experience in the management of a retail shop.

1. Supervisory skills with a talent for empowering responsible and self-

   motivated sales associate.

1. Capacity to be self-directed while working as a member of a larger

   team. 

1. Desire to build top-notch hospital system Gift Shop.

1. Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
