About the Role:
The Senior FP&A Manager is a critical role responsible for guiding the company's financial planning and analysis functions. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to provide strategic financial insights that drive business performance and support key decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and business analytics..
Responsibilities Include:
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture. Oversee day-to-day operations of the FP&A function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Drive the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business initiatives and strategic decisions. Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results with forecasts and budgets, providing insightful commentary to senior management.
- Serve as a key financial business partner to various departments, including operations, marketing, and partnerships. Provide financial guidance and analytical support to help department heads manage their budgets and achieve their goals.
- Deliver ongoing business planning and support the development and execution of annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes, including revenue, expenses, capital expenditures and cash flows.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics, to support decision-making and drive business performance; proactively highlighting risks and opportunities
- Prepare and present regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations
- Identify and implement improvements to financial planning and reporting processes, systems, and tools. Drive efficiency and enhance the quality of financial insights.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, introduce artificial intelligence, automate manual processes, and implement best practices in financial planning and analysis
- Compiles departmental operating budget and ensures accountability with functional leaders via monthly comparisons of actual results versus budgets
- Reviews and approves all new headcount requests and job offers to ensure compliance with budgets
- Works with functional leaders and creative planning around unbudgeted spend and how to ensure dollars can be offset
- Facilitates investor and financial institution reporting as required
- Assists with M&A activity as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles at a high growth pre-IPO startup environment, experience in behavioral health or healthcare service sector preferred
- Prefer 6+ years advanced Excel modeling skills, and a general curiosity for data & insights; proficiency in google sheets, google slides & Netsuite budgeting preferred
- Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions analysis preferred
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance trend analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences
- Ability to work independently, detail-oriented, and execution focused
- A comfort level in working in collaboration with senior executives
- Highly team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize as needed
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
- Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
- Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.
