Summary of Major Responsibilities
The Medical Affairs Intern will support cross-functional tasks throughout all five pillars of the Medical Affairs team. This position will assist in supporting our strategic goals by providing programmatic support, data evaluation and analysis and support of screening and advocacy efforts. The position is intended to be a full-time opportunity over the course of the summer for an undergraduate or graduate student to obtain professional development and experience by contributing to the company’s effort to provide early detection and prevention of cancer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide support of CRC grant screening initiatives, advocacy efforts and relationship building with external partners.
- Assist with a grant funding process including grant review, contract execution, technical assistance delivery, and program evaluation design and support.
- Develop executive summary materials to share internally and externally with stakeholders about the grant program and grantee highlights.
- Work with our communications team to develop thoughtful and compelling stories to share with an external audience.
- Support the delivery of technical assistance and training related to Evidence Based & Informed Interventions, Quality Improvement and Colorectal cancer screening initiatives.
- Assess approved resources (such as power point presentations) to strengthen our educational content and medical review process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrollment towards an undergraduate or graduate program in the Health or Life Sciences area in sophomore through senior standing or recent college graduate.
- Ability to organize, present, and convey problems or issues.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word - generate documents and tables, Excel - create and modify spreadsheets and create complex formulas and PowerPoint); Email – preferably Outlook; and various search engines for conducting Internet and literature searches.
- Experience with peer-reviewed medical literature: reading, synthesis, and summarizing. Familiarity with sites such as PubMed and UptoDate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Ability to interface and work effectively within team and department with changing priorities.
- Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Salary Range:
$34,000.00 - $54,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
