Our Infrastructure Services team at Covestro has the responsibility to operate, transform and accelerate the adoption of digital solutions to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving situation.

The role Global Directory Architect (m/f/d) is an experienced Identity Management Domain Architect (m/f/d) with a solid background in Microsoft identity technologies such as Entra ID(Azure ID), Active Directory(AD), AD DS, AD FS etc. The role involves collaborating with other global teams, regional Covestro organizations and Production Sites to design and implement new Identity Management solutions and features.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design robust identity management solutions that align with the organization's security policies and compliance standards

• Technology Selection: Evaluate, select features of Entra ID (Azure AD) and other relevant solutions

• Implementation and Integration: Lead the implementation and integration of identity management solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and applications

• Governance and Standards: Develop and enforce identity management policies, standards, and best practices to maintain consistency and security across the organization

• Automation and Scripting: Leverage automation and scripting techniques to streamline identity management processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual efforts

• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance and health of identity management systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent potential problems

• Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain comprehensive documentation of identity management solutions, architectures, and processes, and facilitate knowledge transfer to relevant teams and stakeholders

Qualification profile:

• You have a university degree in IT or a related course of study and have sound professional experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft identity solution suite

• You are certified as a Microsoft Entra ID Architect and have in-depth knowledge of  Entra ID, Active Directory and AD Connect

• You have solution architecture experience using Entra ID features, large scale Identity  migration project and are adept at using agile methods and project management tools

• Your strong communication skills and specialist knowledge of PowerShell, modern web authentication and MS Conditional Access enable you to communicate complex technical issues in an understandable way

• Technical understanding of Active Directory, DNS, certificates and Office 365 as well as an awareness of Azure service offerings are needed

• Fluent English and and preferably German skills round off your profile
