Job Description

The Team Lead I is responsible for managing complex and occasionally highly complex vendor relationships, assessing vendor training needs, and monitoring vendor performance. The individual monitors staffing levels and workloads, provides coaching and mentoring, and participates in performance reviews.

National General is seeking a PIP/MedPay Team Lead I/II or Associate Manager (CSL) to join our team! We are looking for individuals who are proactively advancing their careers and ready to transition into a leadership role. Ideal candidates will bring prior PIP experience or a casualty background with previous PIP exposure. We also welcome current leaders who are looking to broaden their leadership capabilities and diversify their experience by leading within the PIP/MedPay space. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, adaptability to change, a proactive mindset, and the ability to foster a motivated and collaborative team environment. This role is responsible for leading and developing a team of 8–10 PIP Adjusters with varying levels of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees complex and occasionally highly complex claims involved in appraisal, arbitration, or mediation

• Oversees complex and occasionally highly complex specialized claims (e.g., business interruption, loss of income, E&O policies)

• Oversees complex and occasionally highly complex claims that include Public Adjuster involvement

• Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process

• Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes

• Advanced knowledge of all regional construction types and related repair methodologies

• Frequently conducts targeted file examining, including performing ride-alongs or sit-alongs

• Frequently conducts calibrations with vendors or staff

• Communicates verbally or in writing about claim processes/procedures with other employees, leaders, and teams

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is

Team Lead i: $68,500.00 - 104,100.00/salary

Team Lead II: $70,100.00 - 110,400.00/salary

Associate Manager: $80,000.00 - 124,600.00/salary

Annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
