Parts and Materials Distribution Specialist (Driver)

We are looking for a Parts and Materials Distribution Associate to join our team. The goal of a Parts and Materials Distribution Associate at Wisk is to ensure that parts and materials are where they are needed, when they are needed. You will be supporting the Material Operations team by transporting parts and materials to the different production and testing locations to support engineering and manufacturing in their objective to build a high quality, safe, and sustainable aircraft.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office, but this work will also take you to our Fremont and Hollister locations.

In this role you will transport aviation materials, parts, and (sub)assemblies between our Mountain View hub and our Fremont and our Hollister locations. In order to do this efficiently, you will have to gain a basic understanding of the warehouse processes. 

The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, punctuality, and efficiency to meet the tight timelines critical to our operations. This role requires a clean and responsible driving record, strong time management skills, and familiarity with the surrounding areas listed above. A commitment to providing exceptional service and consistently meeting delivery deadlines is essential.

What you will do: 

• As part of the Supply Chain organization, and deployed in the Material Operations team you will act as a Parts and Materials Distribution Associate for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.

• You will be responsible for safe operation of company vehicles, including a cargo van, and potentially a stake bed truck, to support the daily aircraft parts logistics to and from various Wisk locations, including but not limited to the Mountain View, Fremont & Hollister locations.

• You will support multiple internal stakeholders including manufacturing and engineering.

• You will follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

• You will conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and promptly report maintenance or repair needs.

• You will assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed.

• You will maintain accurate logs of driving times, destinations, and deliveries.

• You will communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless operations.

• You will provide courteous and professional interactions with internal customers.

• You will support the warehouse operations during downtime by assisting with assigned tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1-2 years of experience.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major violations or accidents for at least 5 years).

• Proven experience as a driver (commercial driving experience preferred).

• Knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations, and local routes.

• Ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

• Reliable and dependable

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $24 - $29 per hour - The starting base rate within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographic
