Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $21.80.

Position Overview

Leads the blanking team, conducts employee training, and leads special projects such as 5S or procedural documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead improvement projects such as 5S and creating SOPs.      
• Assign tasks and schedule production for the blanking team.  
• Onboard new employees and conduct initial training.
• Support production supervisor in completing daily production reporting in Excel and confirming production in SAP.      
• Manage inventory of slit rolls and lead inventory counts for elbow raw material, WIP, and blanks.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.  

Education and/or Experience and Skills

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• +3 years’ experience
• English proficiency and ability to read and interpret safety documents and operating instructions.
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Proficiency in Spanish language preferred
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to learn multiple processes.
• Time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification preferred
