Maintenance Manager
Purpose of Role:
Lead and coordinate effective maintenance systems for the Bowling Green site which result in breakdown reductions. Drive accountability with the Maintenance Technicians and provide technical guidance to improve skill sets within the team. Maintain a safe work environment for all employees in the department. Establish and drive maintenance KPI’s and expectations. Drive Manufacturing Excellence initiatives in all areas of the department.
Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the effectiveness of all maintenance systems (i.e. PM systems, rebuild procedures and priorities, changeover procedures, work order system, etc.) and for driving Manufacturing Excellence initiatives in these systems with a focus on preventative/predictive maintenance principles.
Responsible for reducing machine breakdowns and tracking associated KPI’s.
Responsible for leading daily maintenance meetings, reviewing all scheduled maintenance for the day, work order assignments and priorities for the day/week. Also leads monthly meetings to review department expectations, OPL’s, KPI’s and training.
Works with the Stores Leader to manage spare parts – ensures critical parts are on-hand to reduce downtime duration, manage spare parts usage and eliminate unneeded parts.
Responsible for the allocation of maintenance resources to best support the work requirements of the maintenance team (i.e. support for changeovers, PM activities, shift activities, work order completion, etc.)
Responsible for the annual maintenance budget and ensures that expenditures are within established targets. Provide leadership for cost savings initiatives.
Responsible for providing equipment-related expertise and guidance to maintenance technicians, and others as necessary. Serves as the subject matter expert for the maintenance department, as well as the liaison and principle contact with other departments.
Provides leadership to the maintenance technicians through ongoing coaching, giving feedback when necessary, holding team members accountable, and providing opportunities for individual development.

Experience & Background:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, in an Engineering discipline; Two-year technical degree required
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer experience essential, to include experience in maintenance work order systems, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Needs to possess excellent communication skills
Must be able to multi-task effectively and prioritize according to business need. prioritize items based on business needs.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment and to perform a variety of duties without direct supervision.
Incumbent is expected to work the hours necessary to complete the job thoroughly.
Must have strong fundamental/engineering knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
Requires a strong understanding of predictive/preventive maintenance.
