Position: Senior Inspector (Rail)

Reports to: Department Manager and/or Project Manager

General Qualities:

- Is a proactive self-starter and viewed as a positive example. 

- Provides technical and management support to supervisor. 

- Under the direction of supervisor has full technical and administrative responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordination of a project, assignment, and/or task within a project.

Technical Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ability to inspect rail construction.

- Ability and having experience in Overhead Catenary Systems and inspection preferred.

- Inspect railroad track structure for compliance with railroad standards and state regulations.

- Implement remedial action on defects, pending repair.

- Maintain compliance with safe work procedures.

- Interprets plans, specifications, and contracts for railroad, roadway, drainage, and/or structural construction.

- Clear communication of track condition, both written & verbal.

- Produce accurate & detailed reports of track inspected.

- Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Experience:

- Railway experience required.

- High mobility, climbing required, no aversion of heights.

Professional Licenses/Registrations:

- OSHA 30
