Job Description
Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Construction Scheduler to join our team for an exciting and fast-paced project supporting the expansion of semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role will work directly with a key client to develop, maintain, and optimize construction schedules for large-scale, complex projects within the semiconductor sector.
The Senior Construction Scheduler will be responsible for managing project timelines, resources, and sequencing to ensure the timely and successful completion of all phases of the facility expansion.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction scheduling methodologies, experience with semiconductor or high-tech facility builds, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and manage detailed construction schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to define key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Ensure project schedules are aligned with client expectations, contract requirements, and internal constraints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all scheduling-related matters, both internally and with the client.
- Regularly communicate schedule status, updates, and potential issues to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with construction teams to identify risks to schedule and propose mitigation strategies.
- Track the progress of construction activities, identify deviations from the baseline schedule, and proactively address schedule delays.
- Prepare and deliver regular schedule progress reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders, highlighting critical issues and risks.
- Provide forecasting to predict future project progress, including potential delays, resource shortages, or other challenges.
- Monitor the availability of labor, equipment, and materials to ensure the timely execution of tasks.
- Ensure that critical resources are available when needed to avoid delays or downtime.
- Identify potential risks to the schedule and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with the project team to troubleshoot issues affecting the timeline, such as delays, changes in scope, and resource constraints.
- Track and incorporate changes in scope or design into the master schedule.
- Assess the impact of changes on overall project timelines and provide recommendations for adjustments.
- Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned to improve future scheduling processes.
- Implement best practices in project scheduling and stay updated on industry trends and new tools or technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. PMP, CCM, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in construction scheduling.
- Proven experience in semiconductor or high-tech facility construction, including clean rooms, laboratories, and manufacturing environments.
- Extensive experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project controls.
- Advanced knowledge of critical path method (CPM) scheduling and time impact analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and vendors.
