Director, Business Development

Now, we’re looking for a Director of Business Development to drive growth, expand our reach, and help us scale this platform to meet one of humanity’s greatest challenges—creating better places to live.

The Role
As Director of Business Development, you’ll play a critical role in scaling Vessel’s vision—driving strategy, forging partnerships, and opening new markets. You’ll be tasked with identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and crafting deals that accelerate growth while staying true to our mission of design, performance, and attainability.
We’re looking for a proven leader with a track record of success in a similar role—someone who’s as comfortable building executive relationships as they are developing strategic frameworks and negotiating complex agreements.

What You’ll Do

• Define the Strategy. Develop and execute business development strategies that align with Vessel’s goals for growth, impact, and market expansion.
• Close Meaningful Deals. Identify, pursue, and close opportunities that unlock new markets and drive revenue.
• Build Relationships at Scale. Establish and maintain relationships with developers, investors, municipalities, and industry partners to fuel growth.
• Lead High-Stakes Negotiations. Structure and execute partnerships, contracts, and agreements that deliver long-term value.
• Analyze and Adapt. Leverage data, research, and market insights to inform strategy and pivot quickly in response to changing conditions.
• Collaborate Across Teams. Work closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and finance to align growth strategies with product capabilities and operational goals.
• Be a Vessel Ambassador. Represent the company at conferences, events, and meetings—communicating our mission and inspiring others to join the movement.

• Proven Performer. You have 5–10 years of experience in a similar role, driving growth, forging partnerships, and delivering results
• Strategic Thinker. You can see the big picture, anticipate market trends, and build frameworks for long-term success.
• Deal Maker. You’re a natural negotiator with a sharp eye for opportunities and the ability to turn ideas into agreements.
• Connector. You’re skilled at building trust and influence, creating networks that span industries and geographies.
