PayPal, Inc. seeks Manager, Software Developer 2 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Manage a team of technical resources in the delivery of great technology solutions. Proactively drive and influence the decision-making processes aligned with the organization goals. Manage the ongoing software development and improvement of strategy, practices, delivering key recommendations and supporting the business. Work collaboratively, and efficiently with all internal and external partners and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across organizational initiatives. Active in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and coaching a software team whose combined skill set meets the current and future needs of the organization. Mentor other Tech Individual Contributors and participate in leadership activities. Drive software innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development. Act as a leader and visionary by inspiring, steering, and driving other leaders towards a compelling goal. Deliberate on actions that determine the success of entire PayPal, Inc. group. Review software code and architecture designs across the organization to ensure cross platform efficiencies at both team and PayPal level. Execute software ideas, designs, and requirements to concrete stable production builds.

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or closely related quantitative discipline plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 

 

Special Skill Requirements: 

 

1.      Design patterns; 

2.      Mobile application platforms such as Android or iOS; 

3.      Application development using Java; 

4.      Node.js; 

5.      JSON; 

6.      PYTHON; 

7.      Progressive Web Application Development; 

8.      Design and implement enterprise mobile platform and SDK strategy; 

9.      Enterprise CI & Build systems for rapid software development. 

Additional Job Description:

Base Salary: $234,062-259,600 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
