The Commercial Transport and Business & Regional portfolio in the Fire Protection Systems (FPS) business has an immediate need for a Value Stream Leader (VSL) in our portfolio. This Value Stream Leader will serve as the face to the customer and be a Collins internal leader for the customers set under their responsibility. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the customer relationships, aligning the winning strategies for their customer set and the FPS business, and work within the integrated project team (IPT) as a Leader to solve complex problems. The VSL will interface and collaborate with a cross functional team including other VSLs, engineering, business development, finance, contracts, strategy, and roadmap personnel to effectively support the execution of all aspects of the FPS organization for their customer set.

What You Will Do:

• Assigned as the chair of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) accountable for managing the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule, performance and on-time delivery of products within the FPS business.

• Identify, Organize, and Lead Integrated Project Teams of various sizes in support of assigned customer set.

• Develops internal networks and communicates vision to IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function.

• Supports and organizes program reviews, team meetings, and other regular business activities.

• Ensures customer satisfaction through strong communication and concise presentation material.

• Accountable for the business performance of assigned programs and customers including operational performance, sales, EBIT, and cost reduction.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

• Prior Aerospace experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Have demonstrated experience with leading cross functional teams in the role of Integrated Product Team / Program Manager / Value Stream Leader

• Have demonstrated experience utilizing metrics to evaluate program execution and improve organization effectiveness.

• Have demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting briefings to leadership, summarizing data and information.

• Have demonstrated experience with interfacing with internal and external customers.

• Have demonstrated experience with managing and prioritizing multiple efforts simultaneously.

• Be able to travel up to 25%.

• Have experience working with other Collins Aerospace or RTX organizations.

• Basic understanding of CORE process fundamentals

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business

• Advanced degree(s) in business management
