Detailed Position Information
The Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies at the University of Alabama invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership. The Department focuses on the development of educational leaders in different fields and houses programs in Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Instructional Technology, and Social and Cultural Foundations. A successful candidate will join seven active research and teaching faculty and a vibrant student community in the Educational Leadership program.

This is a twelve-month, non-tenure-earning position with a contract of three years, eligible for renewal.

Develop and teach graduate-level courses in the Educational Leadership (MA, EdS, EdD, PhD) content area; serve on dissertation committees; engage in practitioner-scholar research and creative activities; supervise experiences such as practicums, internships, and action research projects; assist with program assessment and accreditation duties; collaborate in the development of innovative programs and grant proposals; provide service within the University, to state and local education organizations, and relevant professional education organizations; collaborate with local schools and school systems.

The position start date is August 16, 2025

Minimum Qualifications
· Earned Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Instructional Leadership (Educational Administration) or related field

· Minimum 3 years of K-12 leadership experience, including, but not limited to experience as an assistant principal, principal, central office supervisor, assistant superintendent,

superintendent, administrator of career and technical education, or any three-year combination thereof

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in educational law and/or policy · Successful teaching experience at the graduate level · Successful online teaching experience · Experience in grant writing · Working with teams in a collaborative setting · Willingness to travel as needed
