Details of Research Project:
The candidate will be expected to perform research into the immunological basis of neuropsychiatric symptoms. Specifcally they will study how peripheral immune cells control brain fcuntion by regulationg of the brain’s extracellular matrix.
The candidate will conduct neuroimmunology research in the area of stress and depression. They will be expert in immunological techniues such as flow cytometry, single cell and bulk RNA sequencing. The candidate will also have expertise in extracellular matrix biology, including the use of western blot and histology to measure and visualize ECM proteins. The candidate will also be expected to analyze data, write grants and manuscripts for peer review and mentor students and other trainees in the lab.
PhD in immunology, neuroimmunology or related discipline.

Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project:
The candidate will identify immunoligcal disturbances related to stress and publish their results in a peer reviewed manuscript
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $72,500.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
