ABOUT THE TEAM

 

The Business Operations department is in charge of running the bank. We take care of Trade Republic's business process management and ensure that operations run smoothly. The alignment of our processes with the company's strategic goals, designing and implementing scaling process architectures as well as establishing efficient process measurement systems are at the core of our mission.

Our scope covers a broad range of banking as well as business operations topics beginning from Market Operations and Securities Services to Cash & Customer Operations and AFC Operations.

The mission of the Senior Analyst  at Trade Republic is to ensure continuity and quality of AFC reporting processes and adhering to regulatory requirements. We actively monitor to ensure the safety and soundness of the Trade Republic system and maintain a healthy, compliant user base. 

Trade Republic is looking for an experienced AFC Analyst with a firm background in KYC Screening and EDD.  SAR reporting experience to specialise in daily Investigations is also preferrable. As the Senior Analyst you will specialise in the operational process as well as be responsible for dealing with the complex cases and escalations using  tools to assess and combat  AFC/AML risk across the organisation. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Join Trade Republic’s AFC Operations team 
• Your daily tasks include monitoring and investigating suspicious client behaviours and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports for local regulators
• You will answer Authority requests for information and inter-bank inquiries related to financial crime
• You will support ad hoc tasks, related with customer investigations and SAR filing. (Reports, analysis, research, remediation projects, etc.)
• Collaborate with the team on QA driven projects for various workstreams
• Handle Transaction Monitoring, EDD cases and customer risk based reviews. You will also deal with KYC Screening escalations and prepare cases for MLRO review. 
• Support improving the AFC Operations team’s workflows and automations related to ongoing processes

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree or above in law, finance, banking or business management; or professional background with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience in the field of AML/Fraud investigations, SAR reporting, etc.
• Understanding of basic German SARs requirements (GwG) and German goAML functioning. Proficient use of a KYC screening tool is a plus
• Self-driven personality with a “hands-on” approach
• Proven ability to work with in a fast paced creative environment
• An independent executor who can perform flawlessly
• Able to perform well under pressure, handle several different projects and responsibilities simultaneously 
• Fluency in English with working proficiency in German B1+ is a must. Fluency in Spanish, Italian or French is an advantage
• Based in Berlin or willingness to relocate
