As a member of the Cloud Economics Tooling team as a Sr. Product Manager, you will own models that help customers understand their cost and operational effectiveness of running workloads in the cloud. To do this, you will work as a key member of the Cloud Economics Tooling team and cross-functionally with AWS teams around the world to provide data that helps AWS deliver best practices around cost management and cost optimization.
Your responsibilities will include owning and updating service-specific business case tools, in addition to the managing the tooling strategy, roadmap, and new features. You will serve as an expert resource on cloud business value models and you will leverage other AWS resources as necessary to help our customers properly evaluate their costs.
Successful candidates will have a background in Excel modeling, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You should be comfortable managing competing priorities. You should also have knowledge and a technical understanding of cloud concepts and vendors in general, and AWS specifically. You can clearly & effectively communicate (written as well as verbally) across organizations. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences.
This position may be based in an AWS office in Seattle, Boston, Denver, Atlanta, Jersey City, Dallas, or Arlington, VA. Consideration will also be given for other AWS US based locations.
Key job responsibilities
-Responsible for scoping and scaling dynamic analytical models to be utilized by the AWS Sales, BD and Marketing teams.
-Identifying, scoping, planning, organizing, managing, and executing the roadmap for new features and functionality
-Monitor tool metrics to understand usage trends and to create analytics
-Work with internal stakeholders to communicate changes to the platform.
-Drive proactive conversations with internal stakeholders on cost implications of using AWS products and services
-Ability to simplify complex Excel models

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
