As a Biological Science Assistant – Wildlife Research Technician in John Day, Oregon, you will conduct data collection efforts for a mule deer research project. Duties include:
Navigate with 4x4 trucks and ATVs to field locations
Assist with carnivore captures including cougars, coyotes, bobcats, and black bears
Deploy trail cameras
Collect biological data from mule deer
Monitor signals from telemetry collars on mule deer and conduct mortality investigations
Data management and entry
