Senior IT Systems Engineer - Cloud

Our end-to-end technology solutions cover a wide range of needs for Banking, Financial Services, Utilities, Insurance, Retail organisations, and beyond.</p><p></p><p>As a Cloud Engineer you will providing design, implementation and L2 operations and support services to Qualco and customers infrastructures with critical response time requirements for their business technology systems. You will work independently and as member of a team to fulfill service requests. This role requires excellent technical background, prioritization, responsiveness, and customer service, along with excellent communication skills. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong> </p><ul> <li>Design and Development of cloud infrastructure;</li> <li>Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability);</li> <li>Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services;</li> <li>Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks;</li> <li>Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications;</li> <li>Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements;</li> <li>Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners;</li> <li>Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations;</li> <li>Implement Security Best Practices and Ensure Cloud security;</li> <li>Creating and Managing automation in Infrastructure;</li> <li>Evaluates cloud infrastructure costs.</li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>5+ years on hands-on IT engineering experience; </li> <li>3+ years of experience in designing, executing, and supporting IT Cloud Solutions including technical architecture, networking, security;</li> <li>Client oriented with client facing experience;</li> <li>University degree in Computer Science or a related field; </li> <li>Ability to work with cross-functional teams; </li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and </li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. </li> </ul><p><strong>Technical Competencies</strong> </p><ul> <li>Strong Expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS components;</li> <li>Strong Expertise in Microsoft AKS and Docker;</li> <li>Experience in IaC tools and Azure Automation;</li> <li>Experience with Apache Kafka, including cluster configuration and DR;</li> <li>Experience with Docker containers management and security;</li> <li>Experience in AWS will be considered a plus;</li> <li>Experience in VMware Tanzu will be considered a plus.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Join the #Qteam and enjoy:</p><p>💸 Competitive compensation, ticket restaurant card, and annual bonus programs<br/>💻 Cutting-edge IT equipment, mobile, and data plan<br/>🏢 Modern facilities, free coffee and beverages, and indoor parking<br/>👨‍⚕ Private health insurance, onsite occupational doctor, and workplace counselor<br/>🏝️ Flexible working model, hybrid benefits &amp; home equipment benefits<br/>🤸‍♂️ Onsite gym, wellness facilities, and ping pong room<br/>💡 Career and talent development tools<br/>🎓 Mentoring, coaching, personalized annual learning and development plan<br/>🌱 Employee referral bonus, regular wellbeing, ESG, and volunteering activities<br/></p><p>Your race, gender identity and expression, age ethnicity or disability make no difference in Qualco.
