Financial Manager

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Financial Manager to join our team in the Herndon, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our internal organization, team, and customer. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage to financial plans and budgets set by the PMO for the duration of the contact period of performance (PoP)

  • Assist PCA in unify invoicing by integrating data from PeopleSoft, sPRO and ePro for cost management of all labor hours, material, travel, ODCs and subcontractor costs

  • Communicate daily with ManTech employees and our partners to resolve invoicing discrepancies

  • Assist PMO by requesting charge codes for indirect billing as necessary for all employees and coordinating with MT PCA

  • Assist PMO by requesting charge codes for approved CLIN 8 activities as necessary for all employees and coordinating with MT PCA

  • Work with WW PMO, MT Finance, SubK POC and Resource Manager to improve accuracy of staffing projections for EAC

  • Monitor approved OT requests and financial impact

  • Assist with proposed BOEs and WBS as necessary

  • Approve/disprove weekly sPRO accounting for all partners – service procurement timesheets

  • Cross check monthly CAPt and billing vouchers before submission

  • Submit monthly MCSR (CDRL-006) and MFR (CDRL-007) to the customer and follow up on any feedback or questions

  • Attend monthly financial meetings with the customers Business Management Office (BMO) to address program financial questions

  • Approve/disprove expense transactions for travel and ODCs

  • As necessary, assisting the PMO with preparing weekly, monthly, and or quarterly financial briefings

  • Liaising with the program team including the PM, DPM, Team Leads, Hiring Manager, Action Officer to ensure all program financial concerns are being addressed

  • Manage one employee currently working timesheet reconciliation <30 days

  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all financial reconciliation processes for the program

  • Supporting PCA to ensure accurate project level, CLIN level reporting

  • Maintaining and updating records and ensuring files are in a soft, secure, shared repository

  • Support financial business process improvement on the program that may include conducting root cause analysis, gap analysis and process mapping

  • Solving moderately complex financial challenges with innovative solutions and work to implement automation

  • Strong analytic ability to evaluate programmatic data, resolve inconsistencies and propose solutions

  • Provides financial data to the POC for subcontractor staffing management, for staffing and planning purposes – Subk EACs monthly

  • Local travel required between customer and corporate buildings

Hours of coverage:

  • Individual shift may vary, but core hours are from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.   

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated financial acumen on government contracts -projects/programs

  • Experience within the cleared government contracting environment

  • Experience as a financial manager on a program of 250+

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially knowledgeable in Excel to include pivot tables and macros

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter, work independently, and be well organized  

  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to learn new skills while on the job.

  • Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment

  • BA/BS and 10+ years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 14 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct knowledge of the customer’s operational environment, including (but not limited to) customer working capital fund, ServiceNow, desktop technologies, other corporate applications

  • Budgeting and financial management

  • Program Control Administration

  • Accounting/Acquisitions/Contracts

  • Financial tool experience such as; Cost Point, Finical Tracking System (FTS), BASIS, Remedy

  • BS in a financial discipline

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
